The GNRC in Latin America uses ethics education to address violence, one of the main issues that affect children in this region. During the last years, several workshops using the manual
Learning to Live Together, have been developed to promote ethics education in Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Panama and Venezuela.
Workshops to train teachers and youth leaders on how to use the manual have also been very instrumental to help them tackle youth violence and displacement issues in some of these countries.
In El Salvador, after the workshop on ethics education held in November 2007, periodical activities with the young participants are being developed to promote non-violent alternatives, nurture children's spirituality and promote mutual understanding and respect among people of different religions.
